Naya's Works

Released Works

Have you ever dreamed about what you would be when you grew up? Was that dream so powerful that it felt as though it was already true? When Naya was a young girl she had a dream that went beyond desire. It had entrenched itself within her being and as she grew into adulthood it manifested itself into reality. It did not happen easily, though. This dream was born from a desire to understand the universe we live in and her path in life.

Current Projects

Shadow Stalker

I'm finally writing my first novel. It's going to be a cross between science-fiction and fantasy. I'm still planning out the story, but so far it looks like it's going to be a trilogy. I've got the first story outlines, and I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of this year. If I manage that, it should be published by early next year. So keep a lookout for it!

Short Stories

Another college writing project where we had to write a short story using only the senses... sight, feel and smell. It's a journey into an abandoned rock quarry where there are two holes in the rock face look strangely like eyes. Just as the sun is setting the eyes begin to glow. It's said if you look into Devil's Eyes it will steal your soul.

A young girl is caught up in a 100 year old feud between hers and a neighboring village. She tries to set things right once and for all, but it may cost her, her life.

A short story I wrote for a project in college. It's a rewrite of the children's story, Peter Pan, but from Tinkerbell's point of view.

Essays

My thoughts on the movie, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace

This essay was inspired by the fact that so many parents blame the media for their childrens' bad behavior. Is it really the media's fault or just a lack of good parenting?

Articles

The first thing you need to understand about self-publishing is that it is not easy. For every advantage there is a disadvantage, so you should weigh your option to self-publish very carefully.

Whether you are writing an article for publication, an article directory, or even for your own blog, you want to make sure it's the most professional article you're capable of writing.

If your readers don't believe your characters could be real people, you will lose your audience. You can have a mediocre story and still captivate your readers just by having believable characters.

If you want to write, but don't know where to start, this is a good article to help get you going.

If you're having trouble getting your story started, try this method.
